State Championship

On Saturday Jake and I drove up to Ogden with my mom to see my two brothers and dad chariot race for the State Championship. It was awesome. Dad won his race in the 4th division by a long shot! It wasn't even a race. He smoked 'em! Tye was next to race in the 2nd division and he won too! It was much closer of a race than Dad's but he did it. Zac was next in the 1st division and yep - he won as well. It was a fantastic day for the Vane's.

The State Championship is raced over two days. So Saturday set them up to race on Sunday for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their respective divisions. So since they all did amazing, of course I had to drive up there on Sunday too. Don't judge me! If it makes a difference, I did go to most of church this morning and I did teach my class. Maybe that makes it worse.... I don't know. Jake wasn't "feeling well" so he left church early as well and decided to not come to the races with me. But when I called him later he was working on his truck.... hmmm.... interesting. We're terrible, I know!

Anyway, back to the races. Out of the 3 races that we cared about, Dad was first again. He killed them AGAIN with a time 22.14. Awesome!!! So dad won the State Championship for the 4th Division. Yea Dad! And he got the fastest time of the day on both Saturday and Sunday.

Tye was next. He didn't get out super great but he came back and barely won his race. It was so close! It was awesome. I can't remember his time though... sorry Tye. Tye is the 2nd Division State Champion. Woo-hoo TyeBallz!

And then Zac. Oh my goodness, I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Zac's team BARELY won! I know I said the same thing for Tye but Zac's race was even closer. His time was 22.223 and the next guy was a 22.228. It was incredible! It was a photo finish. It was such a good race but next time I would like him to win by a little more because we were all so anxious until they announced the winner. Yea Zac - our State Champion!!

I wish I would have gotten video of today's races because they were AMAZING but Jake wasn't there to do the video. I can't do it because I get so excited while jumping and yelling so it doesn't turn out quite so well. Oh well....
