First of all - HOW COOL IS THAT?! Jake totally has his dream car! Jake is on cloud 9! He is like a little kid at Christmas - the most crazy excited kid at Christmas you've ever seen. He found the car on KSL and was showing me pictures and then he called the guy and talked to him for like an hour on the phone. He hung up the phone, came over to me, got on his knees and said "Megan I reeeeeeally want this car! Pleeeeeese let me get it!" It was really funny. And how could I say no?! I knew it was a great deal for a classic car that was in as good of shape as it was but more importantly, I knew how much this meant to Jake. He's been talking about this car since the day I met him and even more so since his dad passed away. We're young, we have no kids, and something like this is going to be hard to come by again so.... why not?!
However, there is one thing that Jake failed to mention in his post... I didn't just say "Yeah, of course Jake - we're poor but please buy a 6th vehicle!" Noooo, that is not what happened. So if anyone is interested - we do have a powerstroke for sale. Please call Jake for details. Oh yeah, and the Altima.
The reason I wanted to do a follow up post to Jake's is because (not only to advertise his truck - did I mention it's FOR SALE - that he conveniently forgot to mention) I don't think he fully expressed his excitement in his post. So let me just tell you. It's all he talks about! We'll be talking about something completely different and all of a sudden we're talking about the camaro again. His whole face lights up and he gets a huge grin on his face. He is so giddy! The best part of this whole thing is being able to see Jake so excited! He can't wait to actually have time to get out there and start working on it! I love that he was able to get his "dream car". And I love that he is so happy. I think this is one vehicle that he won't get bored with and want a new and better one.
And it has so much sentimental value to Jake as well. It's not just a car. It's for his Dad and he wants to make it his Dad's car. I think it's just another way to still have some kind of connection with his Dad. And I think it's awesome. And you know Jeff is up there just as giddy as Jake is!!
I know that Jeff is probably doing some really important work up there but lets be honest, he'll make time to be in that garage with Jake while he's working on the car.

I'm so excited for you! How cool is it that I will be able to be 16 again and ride in Jeff's car!! Jeff LOVED his car and when he got off work he would have to spit shine it and then go very s l o w l y up and down main street so he could look at it in the store windows (and of course have everyone else be green with envy!) Then and only then would he come to Orem to see me! I did love him for more than his cool car because when I met him I didn't even know he had that Camero! I love you guys!!!!!! mom
I think that getting that car is the best thing that you could have done! I feel like a giddy person and it's not even mine! Megan I have to say I am so glad that you get it (why it means so much to him) I love you for being so sensitive to my cute little brother. Anyway we love you guys and can't wait to see the car!
