Kaylee's Two!

Yesterday we celebrated our sweet little girl's 2nd birthday. I can't believe she's 2 already. We had a pretty relaxed first part of the day. We slept in and when I went to go get her up she was sitting in her crib putting on her jewelry (she can reach her toys from her crib) - she's such a girl. I told her Happy Birthday and she held up 5 fingers and said "two".

We had a pancake breakfast and then just kind of hung out while I made a cake. She then chose her lunch - mac and cheese of course and I put her down for a nap. While she was napping my mom, dad, Tye and Jed came out to visit. When Kaylee woke up, she was so excited! I wish we would have taken pictures because she was so surprised and so happy to see them. She opened presents from them. She got some new clothes, a new apron along with some baking stuff, some jewelry making things, a book, and a Curious George movie. Did I mention my little girl is pretty spoiled?

Then we took Kaylee bowling. She totally beat me! It's kind of embarrassing. After bowling, we went to Pizza Hut, came home and opened her presents from Jake and I. She got another book, some princess toys and a little 4-wheeler! She loves the 4-wheeler. Afterwards we had cake and icecream. I used some candles that I had on hand - I didn't realize they were the trick candles. She was pretty surprised that after blowing them out they kept relighting themselves. But she kept blowing anyway.




My family left after that and we were sad to see them go. We had so much fun and I'm so glad that they came to visit Kaylee on her birthday.

Afterwards we went to watch fireworks in the parking lot of the grocery store here. I wasn't expecting much but they were actually pretty awesome. We then went over to some friends house to celebrate the new year. We hung out and ate food. We came home around 10:30 to put Kaylee to bed. It was a fun day but it made me kind of sad - time passes by too quickly.

Some fun things about Kaylee --

• She loves babies and horses.
• Her favorite foods are cereal, mac & cheese, pizza and spaghetti. I still can't get her to eat meat or veggies.
• She really likes watching her shows on the "V-V" (TV).
• She still loves reading.
• Every time we go to the grocery store (no matter which one) she asks the person at the check-out for a sucker. The one we usually go to always gives her a sucker so she just assumes that any grocery store we go to should give her one - and she gets angry if she doesn't get one.
• She likes sitting on the toilet but not actually going to the bathroom in the toilet.
• She loves baths.
• She kisses my tummy because she knows baby brother is in there.
• She's a good dancer!
• She always wants to help me cook or bake.
• She still wears mostly 18 month clothes.
• She likes to say "Hi" and "Bye" to EVERYONE in the grocery store. She's pretty friendly...

We love our little girl and feel so blessed to have her in our lives. Our lives would not be the same without her. Happy Birthday little Kaylee Lyn. We love you!
