Christmas

Friday before Christmas we took Kaylee to Temple Square to see the lights. She liked the lights but she loved the horses pulling the carriages and she loved the water. We made it a quick trip because it was so cold and there were so many people. But it was still fun. I love Temple Square but especially with the Christmas lights! It was so beautiful.

Christmas Eve Jake and I finished some last minute shopping. When we got back, my brothers were over at the Fair Grounds riding horses so we went to go watch. Kaylee loved riding the horses with her Uncles and Grandpa. Jake even rode around with her for a little while.

After riding horses we went and spent Christmas Eve with Jake's family. We had dinner, played games, and watched the Nativity. Santa brought all the kids new PJ's and then we put the kids to bed and stayed up way too late playing more games and putting out all the gifts. And then we all went to bed, finally.... just to wake up a few hours later.

It was pretty chaotic in the morning and I don't think Kaylee really knew what was going on but she did love her little crib/nursery for her dolls that Santa brought her. She also got a new baby doll and some other fun things. Jake and I got a big canvas family picture for our new house from Jen & Kelly. We love it!

Later we went to my mom's for Christmas there and once again, Kaylee was spoiled rotten. Her uncles gave her a truck and horse trailer with horses and a stick horse. Grandma and Grandpa gave her a tent with a sleeping bag and a few other things. Baby boy even got some outfits and my parents gave us a changing table for his nursery. Needless to say, our car was loaded for the ride home!

She did not want to get out of her new sleeping bag!

It was such a great Christmas and we loved being able to spend time with our families.
