Tis the Season

Jake and I had a really good weekend. We started off with my work Christmas party which was pretty fun. Afterwards, we went with some friends to see "Four Christmases". I haven't heard a lot of good things about this movie - the reviews for it were really bad - but Jake and I actually liked it. We thought it was pretty funny. I would recommend it.

Saturday my mom and I made candy! Yeah! I don't know if my mom looks forward to making candy every Christmas but I do. I don't think I could do it without her for sure - it's really like she makes it and I just help. Tye even helped us yesterday - I know, weird. It was fun. We made caramels, fudge and divinity. Tomorrow night we're making more fudge, more divinity and hopefully caramel popcorn.

And then last night Jake's mom took the whole Nielsen clan - minus Chris & Jamie (we missed you guys) - to dinner at Red Lobster. The food was amazing! I loooove seafood!!! It was awesome. Then afterwards she took us to a show at the Scera theater. It was called Plaid Tiddings. It was so good. Everyone really enjoyed it! And it was really funny. It was a really fun evening.

I love the Holidays! I love the lights, the tree, the sweets, I love spending time with our families and I love the Christmas spirit. It's going by way too fast. I wish it would last longer.
