The Grotto

Kage and I took a walk tonight. We up Payson Canyon to the gotto. For those of you who have not been there, it is a short hike up to this little waterfall. I forgot my camera so I couldn't take any pictures - I was very disappointed.

But Kage loved it! He would run ahead of me until he couldn't see me anymore, then he'd wait until he could see me and then take off again. It was cute. There's spots where the trail crosses over the river and you have to go across on these big logs. Kage didn't know what to do when we got to the first one. He does not like the water! He was a little wary of the log so he'd go down by the river until his little paw hit that cold water and then he'd run back. I finally got him to follow me across the first log and then after that he loved crossing the logs and wouldn't wait for me. But when we finally arrived Kage didn't like it so much because there was water everywhere. He would think he would find a dry spot and run for it only to find out it was deep water - oh my! He did not like it one bit. So then we headed back.

It was fun - it was a good little walk. The canyon was beautiful. The leaves on the trees are just starting to change colors. I love the fall. It was so peaceful up there and a great chance to think.
