Fun with PlayDough

Kaylee has been a little difficult lately. I was trying to come up with different things to do with her so maybe it would help with boredom or whatever it is that's going on with her right now. So we made some play dough today. I've heard that this was easy but for some reason I didn't believe that it would be as easy as people said it was. I was wrong - it really was SO easy to make and Kaylee loved helping. She spent a lot of time playing with it.

My mom gave her a little baking set for her birthday. It has a rolling pin, a couple of cookie cutters and some little pie tins. They were perfect for playing with the play dough. I had fun playing with it too!

It also helped her with her colors. She usually says everything is "pink" and if you correct her, she says "No, pink!" but she actually did pretty good naming the colors with the play-dough. We had a lot of fun playing with it but then the tantrums started when we put it away and it was time for a nap. Oh well, it worked for a little while.

I found the recipe on pinterest or you can go here. She also has some other homemade stuff for kids - like bubbles and side-walk chalk. I plan on trying some of them.Link
