Happy 2 Years!!!

Jake and I celebrated our 2 year anniversay yesterday. So we took a vacation this past weekend.

Saturday morning we drove to St. George to hang out with Jake's sister Jamie and her family, who live there; and also Jake's brother Kelly and his family, who were also visiting. They were there to celebrate Jen's birthday. Happy birthday Jen!

Jamie just got this awesome camera and takes amazing pictures so she took some family pictures, even though we are a very small family, of Jake and I. So thank you Jamie!! I can't wait to see them.

That evening we went to dinner for Chris' birthday. Happy birthday Chris! And then after Chris & Jamie, Kelly & Jen and Jake & me went to the Tuacahn theater and saw Les Miserables. It was really cold! But thankfully we were able to borrow blankets so we didn't freeze to death.

I really enjoyed it. It was much better than I was expecting. I'm really glad that we went. And I'm glad that we could spend time with family. Chris & Jamie and Chris' parents were kind enough to let us stay with them Saturday. We had a lot of fun and we're very grateful for such an amazing family.

The next morning Jake and I drove to Las Vegas. We had soooo much fun!

So when we got there we went shopping - which is always fun! I don't know if Jake would agree with me though. After shopping we went and checked into our hotel - The Mandalay Bay. It was beautiful! Our room was amazing!
That evening we went to see Cirque du Soleil: Mystere. It was amazing. The things those performers can do is incredible. I highly recommend it. Jake and I had a great time watching it.

The next day we did more shopping. We also rode the New York, New York roller coaster which was way fun! Jake and I love roller coasters! And we really liked this one.

Jake & I at the M&M Factory

That evening we went to Mama Mia. It was really fun but I have to say I was very disappointed. Jake hated it. I thought the story was cute and it was just fun. The quality of the singing, however, was not what we were expecting. We were expecting it to be.... good. And it wasn't very good. Les Mes was way better!

We did however redeem the evening by going to the Stratosphere and riding the Big Shot and the X-Scream. Again, Jake and I really like roller coasters. The X-Scream was a little disappointing. It rolls over the edge of the Stratosphere and then it rolls back up and rolls back down. It's pretty scary but so not worth the money. The Big Shot though was awesome! It's the one that shoots you straight up on top of the Stratosphere tower. We rode on it at night and it was scary but it was so gorgeous looking at all the lights from so high. It was really cool! I liked it a lot. (I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures of the amazing view!)

Tuesday morning we slept in and packed up and left. We were planning on stopping in St. George on our way home to eat lunch but as we were driving out of town Jake all of a sudden decided that he was hungry and that we needed to top off our gas tank right as we got to the Shelby car factory. So his idea was to get off the freeway and stop at the Shelby Cafe. How convenient that he got hungry right then.... weird.... Actually, the cafe was really good and really cheap and it even had some really cool car decor. Jake followed me around while I went shopping and he really didn't complain so I thought the least I could do was put up with his car obsession for a little while. And I'm glad I did. It was fun and we saw some pretty cool cars too. Unfortunately the museum was closed. Maybe next time.

We ate soooo much great food the whole weekend. I think that Jake and I are both about 10 lbs heavier. Okay well maybe just me. Jake doesn't ever gain weight!

It was an amazing 2 year anniversary! My husband really spoiled me this weekend. He's the best. These past 2 years have been awesome. Not always the easiest but we have a lot of good times!

Jake I love you more than anything - thank you for putting up with me. I look forward to spending forever with you!
