Happy 4th of July!

Wow! What a weekend. We had so much fun. We celebrated the 4th of July by going wakeboarding in the morning at Utah Lake. We went with my brother Tye. We left Kage in his little crate back home and from what I can tell, he did just fine.

We then came home and got ready to go to the cabin. My mom and Tye had never been so we took them up there - and my cute little dude Kage, of course. Jake's brother Cory and his family came up as well.

My family loved the cabin (at least they say they did) and I'm so glad. It was so fun to go up there to spend time together. We went 4-wheeling and got super dirty but had a lot of fun. I think we convinced Tye that he needs a 4-wheeler. Him and Jake couldn't stay off those things. They went riding every chance they got.

But what's scary is that I think my mom wants one too! I finally let her drive and then she wouldn't let me drive anymore - she loved it!!

It was so beautiful up there. I've been up to the cabin many times but I'm always amazed at the beauty. It's so gorgeous up there, I absolutely love being there. It feels so peaceful and I've never seen the stars so clear and beautiful as they are up there at night.

There was even snow in some spots still.

Kage has been completely spoiled this weekend. Kaulin loved him! And I think Sadie started to warm up to him too after she realized that he wasn't going to "eat Sadie". And he loved them too! He followed little Sadie around but had a hard time keeping up with her. And he loved playing with Kaulin. I think Kage thinks the cabin is home since he's spent more time there than here at home. And I think he is going to really miss all the attention that he had there. Even Tye loved the little guy.

Everyone told me that Jake and I wouldn't get any sleep at night but I have to say that we got a good little puppy. He barely makes a peep at night. He wakes up pretty early and then starts whinning but I can deal with that. He's really quiet but wow is he energentic! But he's adorable. Jake and I love the little guy. Right now, he's asleep on the couch next to me cuddled up with his blue stuffed puppy. Oh my gosh - he is so cute!!!

We had a great weekend. I'm so grateful to live in an area with so much beauty and to have both of our families so close. We have so much fun with both of our families. I'm very grateful to have so many great people close by. And my husband is the greatest! I truely feel very blessed.
